Got the matcha soft serve with a biscuit and warabi. Matcha flavor was potent and ice cream base was creamy and thick. Waffle biscuit itself was also filled with matcha cream. Overall, it was a very pleasant eating experience—I would rate the dessert a 10/10. Also got hojicha and matcha waffle biscuits to take to the hotel. I was happy to find out that they tasted like bigger, crunchier versions of the biscuit included in the soft serve. I prefer the hojicha because the roasted flavor showed up well on the biscuit part. I’d rate these a 10/10 as well in terms of quality and flavor potency. Love that this matcha place had good food and a pretty good selection of packaged goods for sale even as a small shop. Would definitely go back to get these again!

Nestled amidst the scenic streets of Arashiyama, I stumbled upon a hidden gem – a sweets shop offering a delightful treat: matcha soft serve. I decided to indulge, and I must say, it was a decision well-made. Creamy, smooth, and bursting with the rich essence of matcha, it was a heavenly delight for my taste buds. Aside from the delectable treat, the service at the shop was impeccable. The staff exuded warmth and hospitality, adding to the overall delightful experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers and matcha enthusiasts alike. Don't miss the opportunity to treat yourself to this creamy matcha goodness – it's undoubtedly one of the best I've had in a while.

This is the most popular matcha store in the Arashiyama tourist street. Per our tour guide it was the best one as well. They had so many types and varieties of matcha products in the store that included tea, bakery, ice cream, cookies, macarons, donuts, drinks and so much more. They had relatively good price. Some products were on pricedown sale as well. The soft serve ice cream was really good. We bought a small pot of matcha too that came with instruction on how to use it. There were bunch of staff at the store helping customers with demo and questions. Checkout counter was efficient, line moving quickly. We barely had to wait a minute to checkout.
