Got the matcha soft serve with a biscuit and warabi. Matcha flavor was potent and ice cream base was creamy and thick. Waffle biscuit itself was also filled with matcha cream. Overall, it was a very pleasant eating experience—I would rate the dessert a 10/10.

Also got hojicha and matcha waffle biscuits to take to the hotel. I was happy to find out that they tasted like bigger, crunchier versions of the biscuit included in the soft serve. I prefer the hojicha because the roasted flavor showed up well on the biscuit part. I’d rate these a 10/10 as well in terms of quality and flavor potency.

This is the most popular matcha store in the Arashiyama tourist street. Per our tour guide it was the best one as well. They had so many types and varieties of matcha products in the store that included tea, bakery, ice cream, cookies, macarons, donuts, drinks and so much more. They had relatively good price. Some products were on pricedown sale as well.
