We had a great experience coming to this Izakaya from our hotel around the corner. The venue is so cosy and stylish, seating 8-10, and has a great selection of beers, sake and shochu (including some amazing fruit sakes). The bartender/chef was superb, really friendly and accommodating and speaks amazing English. He was able to recommend some delicious dishes with and without meat, including a half and half salad with yellowtail for our pescatarian and prosciutto for the normal eater. The chef and assistant speak english really well, they are very cheerful and friendly. The chef will cook 2 dishes for you and you can ask him for more. They dont have an english menu, but the chef will help you with the selection. Our favorite was the rice with omelette, chicken karage and shrimp. These are more than just the ordinary ones. The chef was extremely friendly and suggested us three dishes from his only-japanese menu. They were all delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly enough to make conversations start with random locals, something quite unique in our two-week trip in Japan.
