I was really excited to visit this restaurant because I saw they offered avocado toast. Unfortunately, despite the great reviews, the experience was disappointing.
When we arrived, there were already four people waiting outside in the cold and wind. After a few minutes, a waitress came out with the menus, but nearly half of the dishes were marked as “not available” — including the avocado toast. Still, we decided to wait and stood outside for 25 minutes until a table became available.
Inside, I asked again if it was possible to get the avocado toast, since I saw avocados and eggs behind the counter and we were there before 11 AM. The waitress said no, that it wasn’t available anymore. We had come specifically for that, so it was frustrating.
We ordered the Quattro Formaggi toast, the bacon & egg French toast, and the regular French toast. Even after all that waiting outside, we had to wait again inside, and only one of the three staff members behind the counter was working — the other two were chatting.
The food was underwhelming. The cheese toast was tasty, crunchy with cheese and honey. But the French toasts were disappointing — they had been soaked too long and were mushy inside. The bacon one was unexpectedly sweet, which didn’t pair well with the egg and bacon.
Compared to other Japanese restaurants that are quick, precise, and consistent, this place just doesn’t hold up. The concept is nice, but the execution needs work.
Another issue was the wait. While we waited outside, two guests who had already finished eating stayed at their table the entire time, just scrolling on their phones. Of course, everyone can take their time, but with limited seating and people waiting in the cold, maybe the restaurant should consider setting a time limit during busy hours. Also, I noticed two more people could’ve easily been seated at the window — another missed opportunity.
Overall, a disappointing visit. I don’t think it’s worth waiting outside for this experience or the food. I hope they can improve the service and food because the idea...
Read moreI was personally impressed by how four ladies were working in that tiny space without bumping into each other, all while keeping the work surface clean. Well done!
Food: We enjoyed our cakes and coffee. My large café latte was served in a paper cup, whereas the other two people I was with were served theirs in normal coffee cups.
The presentation of the toast was amazing different from the picture in the paper menu, but when you cut into it, it had a different texture—more like soft pancake bread. It was mushy inside and tasted sweet due to the syrup.
Service: Service started off well. Since my small group ordered 2 of the same menu with only a few modifications, when our order was brought to the table, it was placed in front of the wrong people. Additionally, the staff didn’t mention what each dish was, so we ended up eating what someone else in our small group had ordered.
I would suggest that before placing food in front of a group, the server should first announce what’s on the tray so that each person receives the correct order.
Price was a little up for the breakfast menu which comes with 1350yen or more. Breakfast seems to start from 9am until...
Read moreWe went to the place by recommendations. Great place for an avocado toast breakfast, and they serve a vegetarian option one without the bacon. Coffee was great, you check the menu through QR code and you need to get to the register to order your meal, they will serve you your order but not taking in so don't sit and wait. The atmosphere is great, good music, and I love the idea that this place runs by these 4 women only. We were there on the opening hour at 9 am since we were already early awake, but even then there was a line of few people waiting to be seated. So mind that it might be a little wait if you get there after 10 am I guess, we were sitting the moment the place opened, but the place has approximately 18-22...
