Genki Isobe provided a kaiseki meal for my daughter and I that was a once in a lifetime experience. I discovered Isobe Restaurant through a friend at work. The chef and owner, Mr. Isobe prepared a phenomenal meal that resulted in a culinary delight that I know I will never again experience unless i return to Isobe's. It was a kaiseki meal. Each dish contained yuba (tofu skin) a restaurant specialty. Every dish was amazing. A pure culinary delight. What was equally humbling was the fact that each dish was prepared with our food sensitivities in mind. My coworker informed Genki of our religious dietary restrictions, and Genki met each one by creating small dishes that were a pure culinary delight created by a chef with genius and a love of his craft.
