McDonald's - Aeon Mall Kyoto — Restaurant in Kyoto

We came here to see if they had any special foods that we can’t get in our country, and also to try the soft serve. The soft serve was pretty standard - you can’t go wrong. We found a teriyaki burger on the menu which was very nice!! I’d recommend.

The place is easy to order from as they have the machines and you can browse the menu and order in English. Just make sure to pay attention when they call your order!

The place seemed quite busy- there were workers, shoppers and a lot of school kids. A little hard to find seating but it is a bit bigger than it looks from...

The food is great. The fried sandwiches are fresh and crunchy, much crunchier than I'd get in the states and made to order. The cashier didn't speak much English but it's not hard to point and say this one or two use a translation app, since the menus are at the counter. We were the only ones given a table number and they brought our food to us pretty quickly, maybe because we looked clueless...since everyone else picked up...

Exclusively came here out if curiosity to see what would be different on a McDonald's menu from the US. Ordered the shaka shaka seasoning with a small fries for less than $2 and it was pretty good. I only gave a lower score on food because I can't put a 5 star fries next to a 5 star fresh tempura and udon breakfast. Go try...
