Kaiten-sushi Uogashi AEON Mall KYOTO — Restaurant in Kyoto

First time customer at Sushi Train at Aeon shopping centre. Six of us arrived for lunch at 130pm. We were hungry, and disappointed there was not much food being offered on the "Train" for this time of the day. It seemed there was omelette sushi and white fish sushimi on the train. And they looked like they had been rolling around on the train for quite a while. Then we reverted to ordering with the sushi chefs directly, and waiting, while they made it. Some options are a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. This is the best sushi that I have ever tasted. The sea urchin (uni) was my favorite.

Almost no English was spoken, but their system doesn't really need any talking. You can point to a menu and indicate how many of the item that you want. Google translate was helpful for the few times where I had a question. The staff was very friendly and patient.

Side note- The green powder is matcha tea for hot water from the nearby tap. It's not the best ever but it's good and it's complimentary.
