In such a hectic world and being a little lazy I rarely find the time to write reviews of my experiences with an establishment unless it is either exceptionally good or bad.||So l must say that this place definitely deserves my time, attention and appreciation! At first I was a little worried with what to expect as we chose an apart-hotel for the 1st time in Japan. However my concerns were quickly eradicated. We found the overall place clean, the room is spacious for our family of 3 adults and probably ample more space for a much larger family! The room and the amenities in the accommodation had literally everything that we needed. The bathroom was amazingly clean and useful, we're able to wash our clothes, hanged it to dry in the bathroom in the morning and it was completely dried when we returned from dinner. It was also very easy walking distance to Kyoto station and other stations and bus stops to landmarks and sites and also near a mall. But the most amazing and unforgettable experience of all was the customer service given by the manager Yugo Yuoh Kim and his staff. I dare to say he's was the most amazing host I have ever encountered in my life of travels! Super friendly, patient, funny and down to earth easygoing. When I came to Japan I had felt a little lost in translation, my own fault for not taking the time to learn the language which is definitely a lesson learned for me, but Yugo ability to speak English quickly made me feel at ease and he was above and beyond giving guidance and advice on where to visit how to get there and what to eat recommendations and making restaurant bookings, and the food was amazing: nishin soba, curry soba, Kobe teppanyaki, blow fish... His help has made my life so much easier as I was already exhausted from over 8 nights of travel from other cities and was running out of energy to do more research. In general I felt that all customers services in Japan is outstanding compared to all other places in the world that I have visited so far. However hands down, Yugo stands on top. He is my favourite person in Japan so...

Read moreMy family of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids - 3 families) just checked out yesterday, and Glanz Kei was so fantastic, I felt I should write a review immediately. If you need a safe, inviting, private, yet child-friendly place to stay in Kyoto, please consider Glanz Kai at Kyoto Station. Their location cannot be beat: convenience stores, a large mall, a large grocery store and of course, Kyoto station (and all the great places to eat) all within a couple blocks. ||The apartment itself was tastefully done, clean and included everything we needed to make this place our home for 4 days. I mean everything!! We had 3 apartments for our stay and they made sure we had one entire floor and an apartment below that floor. ||There was always at least one person on staff (they are staffed 24 hours a day) who spoke english fluently and was able to assist in making recommendations or helping with reservations. They also were really helpful with luggage storage (definitely take advantage of this service when you are coming, whether from the airport or another hotel, we had our luggage sent ahead and it was always safe and waiting for us when we got there).||We came to spend 4 days with Glanz Kei after spending 4 days at Hilton Tokyo. While the two properties are very different, I would say the customer service for Glanz Kei far exceeded my expectations! I strongly recommend...
