We had been trying to find somewhere to eat for the past hour yet nothing was open. As soon as we decided to head to our Airbnb for the night and grab convenience store food, we saw a gentleman chase down a guy who had forgotten something inside his restaurant. Intrigued, we followed the kind man back to his restaurant and decided to give his ramen a go. The locals/regulars were so sweet and told us to come in and sit next to them. Read moreGEM!! Hole-in-the-wall. Family-recipe dumplings. The pork-broth ramen was SO GOOD and not overly greasy (and that’s coming from someone who tries to avoid pork).
The atmosphere was the best! Local men were enjoying watching a LA Dodgers baseball game.
The owner was SO HELPFUL and friendly!! He gave us English menus and used the English that he knows. He was smiling a lot and so eager and proud of his restaurant.
Less than 5 minute walk from the theatre and Kitano Tenmangu shrine and a bus stop.
