Truly an amazing lunch experience. We went after seeing the Raku museum and it was the best choice we made.
The place is run by a mother and daughter, both of whom are incredibly nice and attentive. The mother doesn’t speak English but the daughter does quite well. The house itself is also beautiful, perfectly decorated, and has a meticulously designed front yard/garden area.
On to the food, it was easily the best lunch we had in Kyoto. The appetizer was this fantastically creative ginger, onion soup with some foam on top. Then the main course was a collection of a bunch of stellar dishes. The pickles were delicious and traditional. The three small appetizers were all creative and excellent.
