Shuiro eat&craft — Restaurant in Kyoto

平安神宮から徒歩5分くらいのところにあるカフェレストランです。

あのsio等で有名な鳥羽周作さん監修のお店ですが、特に鳥羽さんを前面に押し出している訳では無いので、言われなければ気付かないくらいです。

京都府美山町の新鮮で良質な湧き水と、自家配合の餌で育った平飼いたまご「うちゅうの夜明け」を使ったオールデイダイニングレストランというコンセプトからもわかる通り、卵を使用した料理がメインになります。

私は日曜日のブランチの時間帯に予約無しで入れましたが、とても人気のあるお店なので、基本は予約した方が良いと思います。

場所も店内の雰囲気も最高にオシャレで、店内はとても広々としているため、いつ訪れても気持ちよく食事ができます。

また店内には紙物や食器なども売っており、ショッピングに利用することもできるようなので、利用の幅が広がります。

京都なのに店員さんが外国の方ばかりなのは少しだけ気になりましたが、お話も上手な上に愛想も良く、サービスもしっかりされていたのには驚きました。

お話を聞いてみると、京都が好きでわざわざ引っ越してきたという方も居るそうで、クオリティが高い理由も納得でした。

This is a café-restaurant located about a five-minute walk from Heian Shrine.

The restaurant is supervised by Shusaku Toba, known for places like sio, but it doesn’t prominently showcase his name, so you might not even realize it unless someone tells you.

As the concept suggests, this all-day dining restaurant specializes in egg-based dishes, using "Uchuu no Yoake" free-range eggs. These eggs come from Miyama Town in Kyoto Prefecture, where the chickens are raised on fresh, high-quality spring water and a specially blended feed.

I was able to get a table without a reservation on a Sunday during brunch hours, but since it’s a very popular spot, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance.

Both the location and the interior are incredibly stylish. The space is open and spacious, making for a comfortable dining experience no matter when you visit.

Additionally, the restaurant sells stationery, tableware, and other items, allowing for a bit of shopping as well, which adds to the experience.

One thing that stood out to me was that nearly all the staff were foreigners—quite rare for Kyoto. However, they were friendly, spoke well, and provided excellent service, which was impressive.

When I asked, some of them mentioned that they had moved to Kyoto because they loved the city, which made sense given the high quality of service.

We got treated really well and the staff is friendly they where also able to speak a bit of english. I ate the Carbonara Soup. Overall it was fine but it was not top notch. For the price i think its fair. They have a big room with alot of space. Everything was clean and hygienic. The Orange Juice was a bit watery. The Coffe was tasty. Overall its ok to visit but not...

The good here is delicious and high quality! It didn't show up in my results when I searched "dinner", which is a shame coz this place is a gem compared to a lot of other places in the area!
