I’ve been to the other Sugari branch and didn’t realized there’s another branch around the same area.
Decided to come early to queue but turns out that there were enough seats for everyone on the first seating. Similar to the other outlet, you order at the kiosk before taking a seat. The space is actually very spacious and minimalistic, perhaps the reason why the prices are slightly higher.
I ordered the beef ramen, added char shu, egg and a side of wagyu rice bowl. Everything added up to slightly under 3000¥. It’s not cheap but it’s also cause I added a lot of things.
At the other outlet I had tsukenmen so I decided to try the ramen this time round. The broth is equally rich and not super drinkable. It’s akin to the taste and nagi ramen in shinjuku. The charshu is super good, melt in your mouth. The Wagyu slice is quite big but as it’s cooked well done, I couldn’t tell how good it is.
When I left, there wasn’t anyone waiting to come in. Seems like the type of place if you know you know kind. From the exterior, you’ll have no clue what they sell or if they are...
Read moreI’m impressed with the decor and setup of the place. You enter as if into a black themed art gallery and find yourself faced just with an iPad order machine. The outside looks as if nobody is in and once you find your way upstairs, you will find a long metal table top facing the kitchen staff and the chef.
The noodles are very elegant dente and has a different feel from the other ramen establishments around Japan. The original sauce is thick and almost creamy consistency paired with very fatty slices of pork. The intestines were very flavorful as well and it goes perfectly with the slurpy ramen.
I tried the curry version of their ramen but was not as impressed as the original.
Take note that you need to order eggs if you want as they do not provide this with the regular order size. All the sides can also be doubled up. You have the option for a regular or large serving of noodles from...
Read moreI never do reviews but I felt the need to do one for this place because it was that amazing! First, it’s a little tough to find because we didn’t see a sign and it almost looks like someone’s house but the restaurant is on the 2nd floor and you order on the computer downstairs. The place is very zen like, definitely a relaxing experience. The ramen itself is delicious, the meat is very tender and the flavor is outstanding. We had my 7 month old with us and my aunt was holding her while I ate. Because they noticed she wasn’t able to eat hers while holding the baby, they made her an entire new bowl so that hers was not cold. I couldn’t get over how sweet that was. They even helped us order downstairs because we were having some trouble (our own fault). I highly recommend...
