The food we received was good, but there was a very long wait, no communication from the wait staff, and more than half of our order never arrived.
I arrived with two friends and we were given a QR code to make our orders, all of which were submitted around 19:30. This order included eight tempura items, two plates of sushi, an appetizer, drinks and a dessert.
Shortly after, one of the servers asked if she could take the paper with out QR code, and we gave it to her, not knowing that this was a mistake. About half an hour later, no drinks or food had arrived (not even water), and we asked one of the servers what was happening. She asked what we’d ordered, and we showed her the order history from the webpage that the QR code took us to once everything was submitted. She took photos of our order, and we waited some more.
At the 50 minute mark, four items arrived, with no comment or update on the other things (note that the tables around us were being served throughout this period, including the neighboring tables, where the people had arrived 10 minutes before). We ate the dishes that had arrived then, after another 15 minutes (so over an hour since we ordered), we asked when the rest of our food would arrive. The server then asked what else we’d ordered!
At this point, we gave up and asked for the bill. When they brought out the bill, it included all the items we hadn’t been served - so clearly our order had gone through and made it to the kitchen, it just hadn’t made it to the table.
We gave the server a list of the four items we’d actually received and she brought out an updated bill, which included a 440 yen table charge for each person. This added up to a third of our bill, which was ridiculous considering one of us hadn’t received any food at all. The server tried to justify the charge because they served an appetizer of two one-inch pieces of pickled celery each, when there’s no universe where that would have cost that much if we’d ordered it off the menu.
It was such a shame to have this experience - the venue and food were both lovely, but having to wait so long for food, then not receiving all the food, then being billed for the food we didn’t receive and having a table charge for someone who didn’t receive any food at all just meant this was a very...
Read moreDon’t bother coming if you don’t speak Japanese. Disrespectful to tourists, no food options. Restaurant is clearly overrated.
More details: Not a good restaurant for tourists. Me and my family come from South America and we definitely stick out. Once we got to the restaurant, the waiter gave us one menu which included only 3 items. The prices weren’t cheap either.
Only me and my father received shoyu dishes, while my mother and my sister didn’t. When we asked them for two, they said the food already had soy sauce and left without another word.
After we ate, another tourist group, a Korean family, sat down beside us and got a whole different menu, with multiple other options, and way cheaper.
Food wasn’t the best, and the service even worst. The first picture is the menu we got, and the second picture the menu the other family received.
If we had known that there was another menu, we would’ve spent way less and only order what we wanted to eat.
I am utterly surprised how many other people have voted this restaurant a 5 stars. If you are wishing to go here, make sure to ask for the right menu, since the waiter won’t give you one. Or...
Read moreAn incredible good sashimi restaurant. For each type of dish (fish, meat, tempura) they have an own specialised chef so everything is absolutely top quality. You often see something but once you try it it has another layer you didn't expect. We initially only wanted to eat something small but due to the quality we ended up eating way more than planned cause we just had to try a lot more and thus payed a higher price, but it was absolutely worth it. Considering the quality and thought behind each piece I would have honestly expected a way higher price. It's around 200¥ per single sashimi piece with sets being cheaper. It's my third trip to Japan and it's the best sashimi restaurant so far by quite a bit. Especially the meat sashimi plate surprised me (keep the piece with the egg yolk for last...
