Hands down the best sushi dinner we’ve ever had. Taizo is a true gem — intimate, authentic, and unforgettable.

The chef prepares everything right in front of you, and the quality of the fish is exceptional. Each dish was perfectly portioned, and we left not just full, but genuinely happy and satisfied. The flavors, textures, and presentation were so refined that we ended up loving things we wouldn’t normally order — that says a lot.

The fish is sourced fresh from the market every morning, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Every course was thoughtful, balanced, and simply outstanding.

While the ambience isn’t flashy, it’s warm and personal. The couple who runs the restaurant clearly takes pride in their work, and their gentle explanations (in good English) made the experience even more meaningful.

At 15,000 yen per person (excluding drinks), this is an incredible value for such high-level sushi. Truly one of the highlights of our trip....

We had a great dinner at Taizo restaurant. It is very small (about 7 seats), which is actually a plus. One is sitting directly in front of the chef who is preparing the dishes for you. He is obviously a master in his profession. Every single sushi is a piece of art. They only offer a fixed menu for the whole evening like in a Michelin star restaurant. Beside that, they are very kind and fun to talk to. Thanks for the...
