Tsumugi Cafe — Restaurant in Kyoto

Purchased the Pizza and Avocado Toast. As well as the Green Tea Latte Presso and Hojicha Latte. And for desert the cheesecake. It took them over 40 minutes to get our drinks and even longer for our food.

Compared to the people around us the food we received had very little pizza and avocado. The drinks were good.

The cheesecake was never brought to us. I even went up to the counter to let them know we were still waiting. I had to go a second time before they brought us our cheesecake after watching people arrive and receive their orders within 15 minutes.

Overall we spent 2 hours there and it wasn’t even overly packed or busy. While I do believe my incident was isolated I cannot in good faith recommendation this as our experience...

Delightful little chic coffee place near to Kyoto station. Bare concrete walls, lots of spotlights, interesting artworks & plants - you get the gist. It’s a nice place to hang out for a while and watch people go by. They play jazz and make SUPERB coffee - hot and strong.

Service is prompt and polite but it can get busy pretty quickly. It obviously has a reputation for great coffee and food. I tried two food items - the avocado & cheese toast ( minus the offered bacon) and the baked basque cheesecake. Toast was lovely with pesto sat underneath the cheese & avo and the cheesecake was one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere- truly a cheesecake lovers...

Lovely little Cafe and very accessible from Kyoto Station. My partner and I ordered the Cheesecake, Lattes and the Cheese and Egg toast.

The toast was a good serving and delicious, the cheesecake was a nice sweet treat. The atmosphere is nice with lovely art and concrete walls, and the table numbers are flowers which is a very cute touch! The music and noises are quite loud so sit outside if you struggle with that.

Although with the language barrier the staff made an effort to communicate which is much appreciated. If you are in Kyoto stop by here for a cute...
