Kuromon — Restaurant in Matsumoto

This restaurant has really poor customer service. As we sat down, the server spills tea completely on my pants. Hands me a few towels but proceeds to wipe down their bench as if it is more important than the customer. Having ordered already I had no choice but to wait for my food with half of my pants soaking wet.

The tonkatsu was overly salty I couldn't finish the meal.

The final kicker? I was given the full bill with only a sly comment of "sorry, are you okay?"

What a joke. Would not recommend. There are much much better options all...

I ordered the same dish as the person next to me. The differences in the dish were very obvious. The tempura in her bowl looked fresh and crisp, while mine was limp and oily. The shrimp was clearly re-cooked from the texture/colour of the batter and the tpughness of the shrimp. More like eating jerky than shrimp. Vegetables were soggy. Fantastic vegetarian options, with excellent English service. We liked it so much we came twice in two nights. Lots of tofu options and plenty of fresh salads with delicious dressings. I’m told the carpaccio and sashimi were exceptional too. A favourite place...
