I love tonkatsu and while I am not an expert, I know that the one I had here was not good. I took the most expensive (2500) recommended item, but the meat was dry, and the breading was oily. The other items were okay, but did not make up for the disappointing meat. I’ve had MUCH better tonkatsu for 1600 yen.

EXCELLENT tonkatsu. It’s in a very prominent area on a major street, so I wasn’t expecting such high quality, but the pork filet and tenderloin were both amazing. Really highly recommend. Staff didn’t know too much English but the menu has tons of pictures so it’s fairly easy to order. Group seating is possible but there’s also a counter.
