Nigirimeshi Ginka — Restaurant in Morioka

Located in a shopping street near the Morioka Castle Site, this place offers a wide variety of rice balls.

I tried the miso grilled rice ball and the rice ball with kelp, accompanied by miso soup and hot tea, all of which are vegan-friendly.

The rice balls are generously portioned, and their texture is delightful – chewy, sweet, and moist all at once! Also they have various rice ball toppings using Japanese traditional foods such as umeboshi (plum), kelp, and more.

今回は残念な話。

夕方～夜に持ち帰りを頼む場合、 店内には入れず、入り口の 外側に置かれた椅子に載る メニュー表を見て、伝票に 希望を記入。

その時、店内で飲食する客は 1組2名だったが、やはり入店出来ず、 出来上がりまで外の椅子で待機。 足元から、かなり冷える。

今回は、出来上がりまで20分ほど 待たされ、翌日は頭痛😣 待機中、複数の店員さん(男女)が 行き来したが、伏し目がちに 通り過ぎるだけで、声掛けは皆無。 店内では、店員さん同士の おしゃべりは弾む様子。

(男性店員さんだけだった頃の) 元気で愛想が良かったあの店は、 今どこに？ 新しい店員さんに、 客あしらいを教える時間が ないのかな？

あ、でも持ち帰ったおにぎりは、 美味しかったですよ。

総括：おにぎり以外のメニューも 美味しかった。

サイドメニューは やや濃いめの味付け。 アルコールが進む。

店員さんが気さくなので、 おすすめを聞くのが⭕

おにぎりの握り方は ふわっふわ。 海苔も、コンビニの 「微細穴開け、誤魔化し」ではなく、 柔らかく美味しい。

大通り商店街にある 新しいお店。 居酒屋風の店構え。 昼に入店すると、 店員のお兄さんが3名。 ハキハキして気持ちがいい。

Their menu has several clearly marked vegan-friendly options! The onigiri is very delicious and not expensive! I tried 5 types (sharing with my husband). Freshly handmade onigiri is the best! I will definitely go here again next time...
