Takasa Sushi — Restaurant in Nagano

Stopped in here after reading the following review:

"English menu available, vegetarian options which are super delicious & extremely friendly hosts! Thank you :)"

I used the Google Translate app to ask if they had anything vegetarian, confusion followed. Not sure why the Japanese word for vegetarian isn't clear, but they didn't understand. Asked a different way then a 2nd person told us they were closed when their hours stated they were open for 3 more hours.

Great sushi, we enjoyed the variety and the flavors. The service was excellent. With no English menu they were still able to help the dopey 外人 order what they wanted! We went with sushi ‘platters’ and some fabulous sake! Great atmosphere with plenty of locals so that seems like a good sign!! Fully recommend a visit if you are in Nagano! Use your translate...
