Scirocco Pizza & Wine — Restaurant in Nagano

I had the most wonderful experience at this shop in Nagano! Not only are their cakes absolutely delicious, but the kindness and hospitality of the staff made my visit even more special.

A few days ago, my siblings and I visited the shop, and one of the employees truly left a lasting impression on me. He was so kind and attentive, helping us choose our cake and making sure we had everything we needed. What made the experience even more memorable was the small but thoughtful gestures—he surprised us by drawing an adorable sketch on our cake box, which absolutely made my day! It turned a simple purchase into a heartfelt memory.

To top it all off, my brother accidentally left his water bottle behind, and he went out of his way to return it to me. That level of attentiveness and kindness is something I’ll never forget!

As for the cakes—oh my goodness, they are heavenly! I had their cheesecake, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best I’ve ever tried. The texture was perfect, and the sweetness was just right. I’ll definitely be coming back to Nagano to eat this cheesecake again and try more of their amazing treats.

We looked at a bunch of pizza places in the area as we were craving a pie. Sciroccos had the most honest reviews and with a 4 star we thought it was worth a go.

The ratings were fair and the pizza was good! The honey lemon salad was a great start and came out early. The oysters came next and they were huge, not super creamy but very fresh.

Pizza was super tasty. Got the anchovy pizza and the Diablo. Both were good, not a heap of sauce and maybe a little too much cheese but I am a harsh pizza critic and would recommend this place.

The place has a "must-order-drinks" policy despite ordering two full pizzas for 2 people. At the end we were surprised to have been charged for something we did not order (that came with the drinks) and were told that it's a mandatory order (in other words a service charge). The pizzas were decent.
