Hountei Main Store Torifuku — Restaurant in Nagasaki

As the name of the shop suggests, the dumplings here are small enough to eat in one mouthful. The crispy thin crust bursts with the meat and chopped spring onions/chives fillings when you bite into it. Unlike most dumplings soaked in oil, these really taste light on the palate. A perfect way to round off or kick-start a meal!! I didn't try the fried egg because 1) it's way overpriced for something I can easily whip up myself 2) I observed the chef frying the egg, and to be honest, it's not something I would go gaga over...But the...

Karage was crispy and so juicy. I've been to a lot of places in Tokyo and around Kansai and I don't think any were as good as this. Gyoza was mind blowing too. It's good if you speak Japanese, but they have an English menu so it's alright.

I think the store owners are so nice too, when I was leaving the store the lady saw that I was not holding and umbrella(it was just in my bag) and came out to ask whether I had one. Really nice of her. Would definitely revisit when I come...

長崎市 中華街近くにあるお店です。 10年ほど前に、宝雲亭さんにお伺いして、 もう一度行きたいと思って検索したら、 今は移転して、とり福というお店と一緒に営業されているとのこと。

中華街内のホテルに宿泊していたので、ホテルにチェックインしてから徒歩で行きました。 土曜日の午後５時40分頃に到着すると、まだ、空席がありラッキー！

■ 焼き餃子（500円） ひと口サイズで皮がぱりっとしていてもっちり。 中の具は、キャベツ感たっぷり、お肉のうまみもぎっしり。 おいしくて、おかわりを注文しました。

■ スープ餃子（600円） あつあつの状態でやってきました。 レンゲの上に乗せて、まずはおいしい汁を飲んで、、、 赤い柚子胡椒がテーブルの上にあったので使ったら、さわやかな辛さもやってきて旨っ！！

■ 豚ニラ玉とじ（600円） 卵の上に豚とニラ、、、 やさしいお味で、子どももパクパク。

■ キモテキ（500円） 大きなレバーが３切れと、きゃべつの千切り。 これが大正解！！ レバーのうまみがぎっしり、大満足のお味でした。 次もこれを食べに来たいわ♪

■ もも素揚げ（650円） 大きな鶏ももを丸ごと素揚げしてからカット。 食べている途中でも湯気がほくほく。 皮がパリッとしていて、お味加減もばつぐん。

■ ごはん（普通：300円） こどもが注文。 白ごはんがあるので、飲まない人や家族連れが気軽に晩ごはんを食べにくることができます。

■ ハイボール（600円）ウーロン茶（300円）
