All Day Dinig PERGOLA — Restaurant in Nagoya

My family had a bad experience in this restaurant. Heartbreaking! At first, we called the restaurant to make a reservation and asked if we could have a table near the window to see the view but the staff just simply say “NO”. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated and we are aware of the 90minutes only policy to eat in the restaurant. The first I observed is the staffs are not hospitable and you cannot see any smile on their face. And for foods are not tasty and not so much option. It's a small buffet actually. and I saw that the staff is talking something to each table of guests and he skip our table. I don't know why. 10 minutes before our 90minutes ends, the staff keep on coming to our table and keep on telling us that our time is up even after we said okay and we know that. I think 3 times staff he came to our table and ask us to leave. I was with my sister and my 2year old nephew. my sister is sick and when we are rushing to leave the table as they are rushing us to leave, my sister suddenly vomited. I thought the staff would help us to get first aid or just to ask if how is my sister but they did not. I don't know what to do. Even after I told them I am very sorry. My sister is sick and has cancer I told them but the staff ignored us and only said the word “go out” like an animal. I experienced 5-star hotels around the world and even Marriott h in other countries, but the hotel standards are never like this. I expected to be the same as other Marriott hotel...

The best breakfast buffet ever.

First if all, they welcome us with a freshly squeezed orange machine that allow us to see the orange to squeezed into juice. Although it is not something new, but all orange is local and sweet orange, that is really amazing.

They also offer us numerous juices and iced coffee in the drink bar too.

Omelette station is one of the nest ever too as the omeletteis very juicy and fresh.

Super food station offers numerous choices of cereal, yoghurt, salad and fruit as well. Wow, they serve local fresh whole apple, which is very expensive.

Last but not the best, the bread and pastry corner which they serve green tea muffin with red bean and green tea danish toast with red bean paste which is DIY bu yourself, really unique.

Of course they offer a lots of hkt dishes which are all delucious too.

今回、開業25周年記念のブッフェをいただきました。「ホテル内にある8店舗の味を一度に楽しめる」とのことで大変期待していたのですが、全体的にクオリティが低く感じられ、正直がっかりしました。名古屋の一等地にある有名ホテルで、これほど味の印象が良くないとは思っていませんでした。

今回のブッフェが美味しければ、各店舗にもぜひ訪れてみたいと考えていましたが、そのように思える料理には残念ながら出会えませんでした。 もちろん、ブッフェ用にアレンジして提供されているとは思いますが、それでも各店の「プロの味」を期待していた分、安価なランチブッフェのようなクオリティにはがっかりせざるを得ませんでした。

すべての料理を一通りいただきましたが、特に印象に残ったものを以下に記します。

【パーゴラ】 ●ローストビーフ → パーゴラ自慢とのことで楽しみにしていましたが、パサついた食感で固く、お肉本来の旨味が感じられませんでした。脂もやや重たく、匂いも気になりました。

【フランス料理 ミクニ ナゴヤ】 ●ミディトマトと甘エビ 蜂蜜シェリービネガー和え → 全料理の中で最も残念でした。クリームチーズの風味が非常に強くクセがあり、甘エビも生臭く、全体の調和が取れていませんでした。正直、口に合わず、吐き出しそうになってしまいました。

●茸のカプチーノスープ → 一番楽しみにしていた料理でしたが、期待外れでした。きのこの香りは弱く、生クリームの味が強すぎて、素材の良さが活かされていませんでした。

【日本料理 京都 つるや】 ●丸茄子の含め煮、小芋の煮物 → 京都らしい上品な味わいを期待していましたが、出汁が効いておらず、味に深みがありませんでした。例えるならば、ただの薄味の煮物といった印象です。

●うなぎの蒲焼き入り茶碗蒸し → うなぎの生臭さが気になり、茶碗蒸しとの相性も悪かったです。出汁の風味が弱く、味付けも塩辛く、食感にも滑らかさがなく、「雅」「上品」といった印象からは程遠い一品でした。

【中国料理 杏里】 ●油淋鶏 → コース料理をブッフェ用に提供しているとのことで楽しみにしていましたが、口に入れた瞬間、酸化したような油の匂いが広がり、非常に気になりました。味も油淋鶏らしさに欠け、匂いの印象が強すぎて味に集中できませんでした。

【デザート】 ●青いゼリーが乗ったフルーツゼリー(名前がわかりませんでした。) → ゼリーの食感が良くなく、フルーツにスプーンを入れると、どこか「生乾きの衣類」のような匂いがしました（表現が悪く申し訳ありませんが）。デザートでこのような匂いがするのは不思議でした。

【その他】 他の料理も全体的に味が平凡で、2回目のおかわりをする気にはなれませんでした。

●中国料理 杏里：叉焼と葱の細切りスープそば → うずらの卵とチャーシューがトッピングされており、スープも優しく、サイズ感もちょうど良くて唯一美味しいと感じた一品でした。
