Hakkakuan — Restaurant in Nagoya

Enjoyed 2 dinner sets with Tofu theme. Really like the fish shabu shabu and the dessert (Tofu with mikan).

The only thing I regret for ordering is the Shoshu and plum wine, both taste weak with the amount of ice and water mixed. But I guess it was because they have to balance the taste with the tofu meal.

And I enjoyed and appreciated the service a lot. The ladies serving the dishes are both warm and cheerful. They have make the atmosphere great.

I probably will revisit the restaurant if time is allowed:)

We walked around the shopping centre to find a place to eat after a long day hiking the Megume trail. We thought the photos of the food looked great at we weren’t disappointed. The waiter was very accommodating in trying to find us a table… it seemed like they were close to fully booked. There is no English menu but don’t let that put you off - use a translation app. All of us were very pleased with our meal. I had a tofu-based set. Service was attentive...

It’s our first time trying tofu set dinner. All dishes are very tasty and flavoured with traditional Japanese seasonings. We ordered the Wagyu beef sukiyaki set menu and we really enjoyed it. The fresh silky smooth tofu served before the main set menu is super delicious. Staff is also very kind and helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The restaurant is very popular so would recommend reservations at least...
