Barong's — Restaurant in Nagoya

We found this store in google reviews, have to say this is the best restaurant in Nagoya, really suitable for midnight snack (with sake!) First, there's only Japanese menu in the store, we basically communicate with waiters in body language and google translation, we've tried all dishes that waiter recommended for us.

Here's the thing we tried: Smoked oysters (which is my first time to eat oyster with smoked flavor), Chicken Wings (the taste is more like sweet and sour sauce, really worth to try), Fish eggs with tofu (really love this cuisine), Fish and chips (totally different from Irish dish, they fried whole potato but with some cuts in advanced, the fish was salmon with tartar sauce, and the sauce was mixed with avocado), Chicken heart (it's a cold dish, Japanese starts from "砂肝... something", it's cooked sliced chicken heart mixed with some vegetables), Stewed beef with bread (sounds like more western food but with different tastes, just try!)

I have to say these dishes are not suitable for formal dinner, but very very fit with mid might snack, especially with Sake, each dish taste super good and fresh, at the end we 4 people had in total approx. 9700 ¥ , which is very worthy, also this is a local restaurant but I think that's one of the reasons to...

Having no idea of what to eat for dinner, and spotted this restaurant from Google Map with very high ratings. Maybe it was almost 8:30 pm , there was no people in the restaurant except us. Unexpectedly, all the food we ordered was so delicious, like deep-fried shrimp in sour and spicy sauce, stewed beef with potato mash, spaghetti, sauages, etc. All are yummy. Found this restaurant through Google and was one of our tastiest meals in our 3 days in Nagoya! Ordered a lot and, although they were surprised, the server and chef were very happy we were able to finish everything (even had seconds of the wings).

Food was simple but all prepared very well and very delicious and scrumptious. Service was very cheerful and attentive.
