Ichigyu — Restaurant in Nagoya

Best restaurant ever! We had our worst day during our 3 week japan trip. We were stuck because of a taifun and had to spend a lot of time and money in search for a hotel. We were really angry. But the day ended in a Happy Ending. This restaurant warmed up our hearts. Beautiful ambiente and a very polite and cheerful waitress and cook. And the food was awesome. It was the most tastefull and tender piece of meat i've ever had. Maybe a bit expensive for the amount of food but well worth it. And if you go, what i highly recommend, you must try their pudding. It was the best possible finish for such a great evening. 10/10 i would go...

After 6 years, we have once more visited Nagoya and wanted to dine at our favorite restaurant in Japan. We were once again immediately welcomed warmly and served the most delicious meat along with so much heartwarming kindness from the entire staff and boss! They were incredibly kind and patient with us and we once more couldn't have been treated any better in Japan's number one restaurant!! Thank you so much for brightening up our day and for being the highlight of our Japan trip once again! Kind regards from Switzerland, until next time!

Very little English except for the menu, but hey!, we ARE in Japan. Such a sweet vibe from the staff. We were seated overlooking the canal. The food is tasty and the place is homey. Don’t be worried about the location as it is slightly a bit of a restaurant row. My favorite was the pork or bacon that was served with thinly sliced cabbage (or was it an onion?? Sake was flowing) and a special sauce to the side for this dish. kid friendly tho we didn’t have a child with us. Also...
