Best pizza I’ve had in Japan! Stumbled upon this place when we were heading to the station. It was almost 21:00 and we were hungry cause we hadn’t had any food. It was one of the few restaurants on the shopping street that was still open, so we went in without hesitation.
And who would have known, it was one of the best decisions made! The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing, perfect for hanging out with friends; the interior was well designed, with elements of Italy lying around every corner; most importantly, the pizza was definitely delicious! We ordered two pizzas at first but ended up ordering another Ripiena (not shown in the picture but a must-eat) because the taste of the pizza was really authentic (my bf is from Italy and he approved it! You know how Italians are very picky when it comes to the pizza they eat).
I wish I could have gone there more often, except I currently reside in Tokyo. In Tokyo you don’t really get the best bang for the buck since good food usually come with a certain (sometimes unreasonable due to the expensive rent here) price.
Well, if I ever visit Nagoya again, SOLO PIZZA NAPOLETANA would definitely be my must-go restaurant. If you wonder where to go on a Friday night with your friends, this place...
Read moreWent here because I heard it’s the best pizza in Japan, but it’s not. It’s decent but not exceptional.
What really bugged me is the ordering process. You stand in line for ONE touchscreen to order everything before you sit down. We had two slow groups in front of us and waited 10 minutes to be able to order before then being able to finally sit down.
Then I thought we could have some drinks waiting for the food but no, everything comes out at once - appetizers, drinks and pizza. Really annoying. We did go in and convince them to give us our bottle of sparkling first. But the beer was a no-go.
When my wife went in to get extra plates to take to the terrace they almost had a fit because regular plates are not allowed outside.
I’d be back with a regular ordering system but this gimmicky and annoying system they have right now is enough to...
Read moreI reserved online and was only able to book the course instead of just the table. The course is ¥3500 and it’s a rip off. For two people, it’s ¥7000 plus drink which makes it over ¥8000. And guess what… They served us one margarita which costs like ¥500, one tiny ass bite size pasta, some appetiser which doesn’t even cost ¥1000 all together and the driest chicken ever. The gelato was good but it was patted down which wasn’t that nice. In total, if we were to order the same dishes separately it would’ve cost less than ¥3000 together. It was the most disappointing course menu for such a high price. Never order the course.
That being said, the pizza is so good. For ¥500 you can get one of the best pizza in town. Don’t recommend the course and all the things that come with the course except...
