It's a family run style unagi restaurant.
I tried their set meal, with their specified method of eating. Basically, it's to portion out an amount of rice and unagi for each style of combination. By doing it this way, the meal could be tasted in a variety of ways that were all wonderfully balanced.
The unagi was very good and every single bite was one to savour, with their variety of condiments and flavours. It must be tried as words are not enough to describe the nuances of the meal.
It wasn't cheap but it was good. And in Japan, service is always excellent! One minor gripe was that the seating capacity for tables with chairs was limited. I ended up on with the floor style space which was authentically Japanese, but being a 6 footer, I had problems with blood flow circulation in my legs and ended up sitting sideways with my legs stretched out along the length of the sitting space.
