【静寂の中に広がる贅沢な一杯】 Tucked within the historic charm of Nara Hotel, the bar offers a serene escape where time seems to slow and every detail whispers of old-world elegance. My early evening visit was brief, but it left a lasting impression.

The quiet, refined atmosphere made it easy to unwind. I tried the hotel’s original cocktail, Manyo Bijin - 万葉美人, a delicate blend that seems to pay homage to both poetry and plum blossoms—floral, balanced, and gently intoxicating. It’s the kind of drink that invites you to sip slowly, appreciating each layer. Alongside it, I enjoyed a slice of pine nut cake—moist, subtly sweet, with a light nuttiness that paired perfectly with the drink’s aromatic notes. Regulars speak highly of it, and I can see why; it’s a quiet star on the menu.

Though my time was short, watching the sun dip below the tiled rooftops while seated in that quiet lounge felt like slipping into a different era. I longed to stay the night—Nara Hotel’s reputation as a classical ryokan-style retreat is well-earned—but that experience will have to wait.
