Yamato Modern — Restaurant in Nara

I had a wonderful experience dining here. The portions and prices were just right to sample a bunch of dishes. I ordered their take on taco rice with melted cheese on top - my favorite at this spot. I also got nikujaga croquette and a kinako ice cream parfait for dessert. All in all, it was an affordable meal and everything tasted amazing. I'll go with an empty stomach next time so I can try a lot more dishes...

Posto davvero carino! Il menu consiste in piccole porzioni di ogni portata, permettendoti di assaggiare più cose. Inutile dire che era davvero ottimo, ogni cosa che abbiamo provato ci ha lasciati a bocca aperta. Piccola nota dolente per gli sgabelli, un po' scomodi ma pazienza. Il menu è solo in giapponese, che è un peccato ma è stato il motivo che ci ha spinto a provarlo in quanto "poco turistico".

Really nice place! The menu offers small portions of each dish, allowing you to try a variety of flavors. Needless to say, everything we tasted was absolutely delicious and left us impressed. The stools were a little uncomfortable, but that's just a minor detail. This place came recommended. It was a slow night but unfortunately the male hostess turned us away even though we offered to wait for a table. Sadly watched him do this to 2 other couples that were tourists.

If you are visiting Nara try to avoid this spot. So many other places nearby with much more...
