The food was ok, I had a japchae lunch set, quite good, also fine amount. Atmosphere inside the restaurant is also quite good, though the music was way too loud. There's also a variety of dishes to choose from. However, when I was done I asked what time is the last order and staff told me it's around 22:30. The place is open till 23:00, but then, when I arrived there at 21:50 they said they're closing for the day, because today it was raining (it was not raining already at that time). That is ridiculous. Just imagine going specifically to that place and they're telling you, sorry, we're not gonna serve you food, even though it's still business hours. Since all the staff was there when I came, I feel it's quite impolite. I don't see a reason to actually try and go there again. I also felt like the staff was not being very serious about their work (I mean even at first when I went there for lunch). The music was so loud I couldn't even hear the staff properly, too. Another thing is that prices on display in front of the store are different then the ones on the menu inside, so have that in mind.
Overall, food was tasty, good price:amount ratio, but place itself is too loud and a bit flashy, and service is not good. Wouldn't really recommend, if you have...
Read moreThe food here is really good if you can get it. My wife and I came here when it was pretty empty (3 other tables). We ordered fried chicken, tail soup, kimchi daikon, cold noodles, and a coke. It took us about 30 minutes to get the coke, chicken, and daikon, then another hour to get the cold noodles. By then the restaurant was full of people. Mixed drinks came out quickly but no one else was eating. Eventually we asked the waitress how many hours it would take to get the rest of our food and she said she didn't know. For some reason they brought us another fried chicken dish (maybe an apology) but at this point we decided to leave and get a refund for the missing food. The place seemed fully staffed so I can only assume the chef is a quadriplegic so I hope he gets help soon. His food is delicious but clearly the kitchen needs people with arms and legs to get the food out in a timely manner. The food is good, just don't expect to get it. That or come in after eating lunch somewhere else and you might be served by dinner time. My apologies to the guy on a date next to us, I hope you two had better luck at...
Read moreAll 4 things we ordered were absolutely delicious: Korean pancake with leek and chili, cheese topokki (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong), fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce (honestly the sauce was average, but the chicken itself was crunchy and moist), and jabbeh noodles with vegetables (again, I know I don't have the name right).
We sat down in a very empty, narrow room near the street and only near the end realized we were in the spill-over area from the main restaurant. So, if you go here, make sure to go inside a bit to where all the neon is. Our area was completely empty and dead. When we went inside the other area to pay, we realized that's where the action was.
We had 1 server pretty much to ourselves and she was cleaning constantly and not attentive at all, we had to keep getting her attention. However, when we managed to get her, she was very sweet and friendly.
I'd definitely go back and this time sit in the main restaurant. Food...
