ひがし食堂 — Restaurant in Narita

Nice old style Japanese restaurant... No menu, just signs on the wall. Server was very helpful. She showed us an example of the daily special and made sure to thank is in the way out. She tried her best to explain what the dish was. Great service. Food was good and prices were excellent. At around noon it was getting really busy with the business people and truck drivers...

Wonderful experience! This place is typically Japanese with traditional seating areas and interior design. The food is delicious, and the service amazing. Set menu are at about ¥7-800 and come with main, rice and soup. Everything went well, and we loved the experience. One of the employees speaks some English, too, and we enjoyed sharing a chat with her. Totally...

I came early for lunch, around 15 minutes before they open, sat on the floor outside when one lady saw me and invited me inside! Very, very thoughtful and nice!!! I showed a picture of the food and she understood what kind of food I wanted. Before she went back to the kitchen, I asked if they accepted credit card (showing my credit card). She said no… I apologized, thanked for her kindness and was about to leave when she told me (gesturing) to seat back down and said with a limited English skills “seat, gift from us”!!!… I will never forget how she treated me and took me even though she knew I had no cash to pay for my lunch!!! This place deserves 1000 stars, not only 5!!!
