This was a wonderful cafe, close to Korakuen. The owners are very kind and friendly, and the cats are sweet too! I ordered the tonkatsu set meal and it was delicious! One of the best tonkatsu meals I’ve eaten in Japan. I ate here as a solo female traveller and had no troubles. Highly recommend 😊

It feels like eating a home-cooked meal from the grandmother you never got to meet. Kind to foreigners and the cat is also very cute! The owner also drew all the art, so you can buy some very affordable and unique postcards here.

Me encantó. Acababa de llegar a Okayama, mi alojamiento era en el Hotel Excel, que está justo al cruzar. Como faltaba un rato para la hora del check in, ya tenía hambre y el sitio me llamó la atención por el contraste con todo lo demás, entré. Con mi poco japonés y el traductor de la tablet de los señores, hablamos un poco. Mis kakesoba los preparó el señor y estaban muy buenos. Tienen un gato, aunque no lo vi hasta que llegaron dos clientes y uno de ellos se puso a buscarlo hasta que dio con él. Hay un cartel en la puerta donde avisan que si no te gustan o eres alérgico, mejor no entres. Yo no soy fan y me dan un poco de alergia, pero tampoco me disgustan y el picor de nariz no me iba a matar, así que entré igual y mereció la pena.
