We enjoyed the first dinner of our recent Japan family holiday at PROKO. This Okonomiyaki restaurant is an absolute delight and fully deserves all the praise it receives. The Okonomiyaki here was amazing—we had the chance to try both the Kansai style and the Hiroshima style, and loved them equally. Another highlight was the homemade Umeshu (plum wine) and the deliciously homemade sesame ice cream 🍨. The restaurant is cozy, beautifully decorated, and situated in a charming neighborhood. Watching the owners prepare each Okonomiyaki is part of the experience ✨. The hospitality of the owners was outstanding. Seeing the chef prepare the food gave us a lot of joy, the owners are super friendly, and the food was so delicious. The pricing was fair and the serving was enough. The drinks were good too! Especially the Kiwi one. This one is definitely a must try!

It was the perfect local dining experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, home-cooked Japanese...
