If I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would! We discovered Rikimaru Robatayaki Yagura-ya (found via a Google search for “izakaya near my hotel” with 4+ stars) and were completely blown away. Located just a 3-minute walk from our hotel, the entrance is a charmingly tiny sliding door that was a bit tricky to find—but what a hidden gem!

The service was impeccable, and the experience was truly unique. Watching the staff serve each dish using a traditional wooden paddle added so much fun and flair to the evening. The food? Fantastic! The grilled corn is an absolute must-try, bursting with smoky, sweet flavor. We ordered over 10 plates, and the variety and quality of dishes were outstanding.

I have to revised my review after my 2nd visit. As mentioned, I booked another dinner after my first visit. I din the online booking and all details are the same as before. This time the staff told me that I have to book the “all you can eat” menu in the online booking. I tried to explain that I did the same booking days before and I had the same “all you can eat” menu. The staff keep repeating that the menu had to be booked in the online booking and ignoring my explanation. I understand that there are rules for each restaurant. I just want to explain and show the staffs what happened before. In the end, I had the “a-la carte” menu. The foods are nice but the experience is ruined.
