申し訳ございませんが、英語で書かせていただきます。 My wife found your restaurant online and it looked delicious. We arrived around 17:30 yesterday and were promptly seated. Though the other member of staff seemed completely disinterested that there were customers. The waitress with the tattoos (I have tattoos so it doesn't bother me at all) took our order and my wife, who is Japanese clarified our order by pointing out what we wanted which was the アジフライ定食 and 油淋鶏定食(ベジミート使用).
My wife's order of アジフライ定食 came first, but my order 油淋鶏定食(ベジミート使用) was served to a foreign guy, whose order was taken after us and his foreign girlfriend was served something as well, so their order was completed before ours. My wife was waiting for me to be served so we could eat together. Then our waitress (the same woman) came to clarify my order for some reason, however, she was talking so fast and mumbling and my Japanese wife thought that she seemed to say 油淋鶏定食, so my wife assumed she was talking about the vegetarian dish I ordered.
We waited for a while, and the food never came. A third table that came after us was served before me, while my wife waited for my food so we could eat together. Finally, after what seemed like an unusually long time, I was served the wrong thing! When I bit into the, what I thought was soy chicken meat, it was actually real chicken. Surprise! I was wondering how can this be fake chicken, when it tastes exactly like real chicken. So I had my wife taste it to see if it was, in fact, real chicken because the texture and everything lead me to believe it was real chicken. We sat there confused, looking at the menu and wondering what was going on. Finally we called over the waitress and asked her if my dish was soy meat or not. She said she thought I ordered the regular Hakko 油淋鶏定食 and not the 油淋鶏定食(ベジミート使用). I am strict vegetarian and have not eaten meat for over 8 years and my wife is a pescatarian (she doesn't eat any meat, only fish). However, as we did not want to waste the food, my wife ate the chicken, even though it was not very good and salty.
I am absolutely floored at how disorganized and careless this waitress was. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so I am not sure how she messed up my order so badly. There was also no communication, or very little communication, between the kitchen staff. It seemed like the other member of staff didn't even want to be there.
The waitress offered to make the correct dish, but I was not interested in waiting and eating there anymore. The only redeeming part of this ordeal was that she took my meal 油淋鶏定食off of the bill so I didn't have to pay for it and she apologized profusely.
Also, both of our tongues were partially numb until midnight due to the amount of salt in the food. I don't think it's fair to say that your food is healthy and you use these healthy catchphrases and when, in fact, the food is loaded with salt, and not very tasty. The miso soup was packed with shouyu and was awful. It was just too much. The only saving grace was the salad, which was actually good.
I'm sorry but I will never come back to your restaurant again. I've never had this kind of problem before at a restaurant that serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The food was also way too salty, like other reviews have complained about. How is this food supposed to be healthy if there's so much salt in it? I am not sure how someone could mess up such a simple order when the restaurant wasn't even busy. I will also be sure to tell my vegetarian friends to stay away from your restaurant as well. I've lived in Osaka for 13 years and this was, by far, the worst experience at a restaurant I've had...
Read moreWent inside without greeting, sat down after 5mins of waiting, which is ok. But there was no response ever since that, no water, no asking for order. We had eye contact with the cashier at least 4 times but she kept ignoring us and focused on the take away order. I mean… at least you could tell us you would be with us. Though we don’t understand Japanese, we do understand your gesture, so please let us know. I don’t know how others get their orders, but no one cares about us for 20 mins straight until we left...
Read moreI absolutely loved the food here, I was travelling in japan and found this restaurant via google. I could eat here everyday if I were local. Tasty and healthy food, you can feel the food is cooked with love and care. Macrobiotics is healing to me. I also appreciated that they kept stock of macrobiotic kitchen staples for customers to purchase. I will be back next time I...
