My mom had the fish with avocado and anchovies garlic sauce. My dad had the premium Hamburg set. I ordered a kids set meal ( im a kid okay). The Hamburg with chicken, egg and broccoli was truly a match made in heaven. The seasoning of pepper plus salt made every bite fill my mouth with a goodness I have never experienced before. Along with the kids meal came a bread buffet. There was a wide variety of bread for my family to choose from. Chocolate, custard, garlic, cheese, matcha, you name it. Both the sweet and savory breads were piping hot and fresh from the oven. As for the service, it was impeccable! There was a lady with the bread basket who walked around the restaurant periodically to hand out bread for the bread buffet. My mom especially loved the chocolate bread, but at that point of time, there was no more chocolate. My mom was quite disappointed when she asked the lady for chocolate bread and was told that it had run out. Seeing this, the lady went to the kitchen and returned with a chocolate bread fresh from the oven. My mom hadn’t even requested for the chocolate bread, yet the lady specially got it for her! All in all, the staff met our every need and the food was wonderful. The restaurant had calming music playing which enhanced the atmosphere. Truly another great recommendation added to my “book of recommendations” Signing off, Beth, daughter. PS im surprised you have reached the end of this dreary yet...
Read moreI recently went to a restaurant with high hopes of enjoying good food and quality service and it was our first night at Osaka from Australia. Despite the staff not being able to speak in English, it did not bother me much. However, I found the bakery worker or chef to be discriminatory and racist. We paid for bread so that my mother could eat as much as she wanted and I was trying to help her choose, but he became aggressive and kept moving the plate for no apparent reason. He also asked one of us to talk only because he thought we paid for one plate and both wanted to eat bread, but that was just his judgment and another disrespectful behavior. Then He only went to tables with Japanese customers to offer them a choice or put more bread on their plates. Every third time he came to our table, he did not even ask or offer to choose and just put one bread and left…We paid a lot of money for good food and excellent service, and as tourists, this behavior is unacceptable towards anyone! The drinks were mostly empty, so we paid for glasses only and as I was sick I only had hot water with teabags. The food was average, and the waitresses were okay. Thanks for welcoming us we promise to do better for Japanese people if they come to...
Read morePleased to see a bread buffet in the heart of the city. The bread is lovely, soft and warm - with a huge variety from yuzu/cheese, garlic, raisin, komugi and croissants. The main course choices were a little on the small side, and I can’t recommend the beef with truffle and red wine sauce at all (it was chewy, not great quality with a tasteless sauce and looked like it was cooked by a microwave and borderline inedible), although the fish dish was nice. For the price of an all you can eat fresh bread buffet, I’d say that’s the main star of the show - I’d probably come back just for the bread, maybe something else like the chicken soup, but I’ll skip the beef. The staff were also lovely - the waitress carrying the bread was kind and very sweet in explaining every type of bread to us. The live music performance was also a lovely addition...
