⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Barista Map Coffee Roaster – Osaka
Tucked in a sleek, minimal corner of Osaka, Barista Map Coffee Roaster is a haven for purists and coffee geeks alike. This place doesn’t just serve coffee—it respects it.

What We Had
1️⃣ Ice Strawberry Latte A refreshing twist on the classic latte. The sweetness from the strawberry syrup doesn’t overpower the espresso but instead dances with it balanced, smooth, and playful. ✔️ Crowd-pleaser ✔️ Sweet but not shallow
2️⃣ Panama Pour Over This is where they flex. We had the Panama beans (Janson, Esmeralda, Elida Estate quality). Taste notes: Jasmine, Lemongrass, Orange — clean, floral, and structured.
🔥 Cool Feature: Comes with a temperature sensor dock, so you can track how the flavor evolves as the coffee cools: • 🔥 80°C → bright citrus & acidity • 🌤 60°C → floral notes bloom & sweetness deepens • ❄️ 50°C → gentle finish, tea-like

Final Verdict
In an age of coffee gimmicks, Barista Map is a breath of single-origin air. This isn’t just coffee, it’s craft, chemistry, and character.

Read moreI'm honestly lost for words. This unassuming little walk-up shop served me the best pour-over I think I’ve ever tasted! No exaggeration. It was a naturally processed Panama coffee, and every sip was mind-blowing. Clean, sweet, layered — just perfect.
Turns out, the owner is no slouch either — she's the SCA Japan Brewers Cup Champion, which suddenly made a whole lot of sense. But what really blew me away was the service. For a walk-up spot? Above and beyond doesn't even begin to cover it.
They walked me through the selection process like I was the only guest that mattered — letting me smell the whole beans, then the ground coffee, then the brewed aroma of the pour-over. Who does that?! That level of care and hospitality is rare, and it made the whole experience feel incredibly personal.
My pour-over was served in the cutest little cup made just for them, and they even explained how the shape helps highlight the coffee's flavor profiles. Seriously, attention to detail is off the charts here.
If you’re in Osaka and you love coffee, do not skip Barista Map. They’re planning to move to a bigger space in Shinsaibashi soon — and I can’t wait to visit again...
Read moreWow!! What a coffee experience! This is not a regular cafe so If you’re looking for some mocha chocha fluffy thing, this isn’t the place. This place is all about being true to the coffee beans, quality small batch beans from all over the world, drip pours by a recent runner up in the 2024 Japan Brewery Cup. We waited some 15 minutes or so and then chose our beans and associated price point, and then were shortly served our coffees. As you can see in the picture, they monitor the temperature of the coffee for its optimal drinking temperature (58 degrees and below), even noting the flavor profile changes with dropping temperature.
I had the Ethiopian brew which was 1,500 yen and my wife had beans from Panama which was 2,000 yen. The richness of the coffee was incredible and we were buzzing after. I’ll be honest, most expensive cup of coffee I’ve ever had, but this isn’t just a cup and was really a unique experience. For any coffee lovers, i would definitely recommend as it was a fantastic experience and coffee, just wanted to clarify what this place is offering! The staff were so friendly, definitely give it a shot and bring your coffee nerd...
