I'm from England and I don't speak Japanese. I was treated very well by the lady there, she was kind and considerate. The atmosphere is so nice and calm, there is a few english songs about the cafe playing on the radio and the cats are cutely sitting around the place. The cats range in activity levels, breeds and age, so some are old and don't move much but some are young and active. There are a few rules to follow but they are no problem - you have to have a non woven mask, i.e a mask that is not woven material. You must take your shoes off and wear their slippers they provide, and you must wash your hands, dry them, and use an alcohol hand sanitizer, because you will be stroking the cats. The place is one small room with about 5 arm chairs and two small sofas, with a few tables between the sets of chairs, it's not that big but once you get settled it is no problem. There is a toilet there in the back. You can't wear perfume or be smelling of scents as it's not good for the cats.
The entrance price is 1500 Japanese yen, and you get one free drink included. There is a menu of food, I had the most fluffy pancakes, and my wife had a strawberry parfait and both were super tasty. We also bought some cat treats for the cats and they swarmed us when they saw the treats. Certain cats have a preference for certain treats, but they are all extremely cute and lovely. But if you buy treats be prepared to be swarmed. Try and feed the treats to each cat equally, although some cats will be very pushy and demanding for their favourite treat. The two treats you can get are a kind of packet of pre cooked fish and a longer packer of semi liquid cat treat.
We had an amazing time and we will definitely go back while we are staying in Osaka. I highly recommend this one if you are looking to go...
ย ย ย Read moreA very cozy and intimate cat cafe, and I enjoy having gone. The rules are very clear, but one thing to note before you go is to still bring a mask and to not go to other cat cafes before. It's for the cats to stay healthy, so all understandable. The food was delicious as well and pretty affordable. My lap was not selected by the kitties to lay on, but that was just bad luck, all of the other customers had kitties sleeping on them. I was given a chair with one of the cats sleeping in it placed next to me, so I still got to pet a nice relaxed cat. It was clean, there was cat hair on the velvet chair one cat liked, but that's to be expected, it didn't smell or look dirty. It feels like they are well loved and happy and living good kitty lives. There's cat picture books and art, including a nice picture of all 6 cats and the little spoons with your food have their faces on them. They had frilly collars when I went, but seemed relaxed in them. I will go again the next time I...
ย ย ย Read moreQuick review; Note you have to pay 1500 yen to come in (comes with a drink and a one hour stay) and have a mask with you (they sell it for 100 yen). The place is very well decorated and cute. The place also doesn't smell. It seems the place and the cats are very well taken care of. All the cats seem to be senior cats, still cute just not super energetic. I only ordered drinks, a caramel latte and a peach drink, both were good especially the peach drink. The food looked good on the menu, but I already ate so I didn't try. There was one man running the place when I was there, he was kind, guiding and could speak good English. 4.5/5
Extra: They should display the 100 yen snack stick in english. The cats got excited when another couple...
