The food was delicious and cooked really well. The male staff who served us at the halal floor were friendly and nice. However, I was disappointed with one of the female staff who received us at entrance door (lowest level). I find her to be quite rude. It was our first time coming to this restaurant and first time in Osaka. When we entered, we saw another muslim girl standing by the door. We genuinely thought she was one of the staff so we talked to her to ask about how do we reserve a table (cos we wanted to go to a tea ceremony event first). We were really clueless since we have never been there. Immediately this female staff came and rudely addressed us. She thought we were just some random people chatting with their customer who wanted to pay (the muslim girl) and blocking the entrance. We tried to explain that we want to reserve but the way she responded was very rude. She also rush us to give our details so that we can quickly leave the entrance. Is that how you treat your customer? We genuinely wanted to eat there and pay you. Why talk to us like that and why rush us like that? If you don't want us to block the entrance from the other customers then kindly lead us to a table or somewhere to finish the reservation details. Very disappointed that we don't to go there again despite how good...
Read moreRead moreMy God! We went there the staffs told us to leave before 6:50 and the food came at 6:10~20 (did not understand the reason). We ate fast and left that's not even a problem, the food had no taste. I have eaten okonomiyaki but this one... There were expensive fillings and it was at all not worth it. And tbe behavior was not kinda good as well.. We have to eat with some other random people in a reserved room. The reason why we went there is to see them.make it infornt of us which is a treat . But the staffs said the chef is not there. THE PRICE WAS WHOPPING 11K YEN. I COULD HAVE OPT FOR BETTER OKONOMIYAKI 10 TIMES WITH THAT WASTED MONEY. Yakki soba was worst. Only sweet! Thanks for the expensive fishes tho without any taste! Do not go to the halal section of this store(I have no idea why we were in halal section tho). Also we asked the waiter to not put meat in the okonomiyaki and when the food came we asked them and they were not sure what is in there in the food. You will be deadass disappointed as hell.. ALSO WE TOLD THEM NOT TO GIVE US APPETISER AND THEY BROUGHT US APPETISER STILL.ALSO THE MENU WAS SHOWING THE PRICE OF 5000 WHAT WE ORDER. WE HAD NO IDEA THAT THE HALAL OPTION IS DIFFERENT AND THEY DID NOT EVEN TELL US. I STILL CAN NOT GET MY HEAD AROUND REGARDING THE FACT THAT WE PAYED 11K...
If you're on Dontonburi street and see a long line/queue outside and are unsure if you should come here. The answer is do it! You won't regret it. It was dinner time in late March and we were hungry and wanted to try Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba. The line moves pretty quickly as the restaurant is 3 floors! We waited about 35 mins outside. My husband and I got a great seat right at the bar and the chefs cooked in front of us, it was so fun watching them make the food. You eat it with a little spatula, we even got a great video of the chef squirting the Kewpie mayo onto our neighbors Okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki is like a savory pancake with the main ingredient being shredded cabbage. They put a sweet flavored brown sauce on top with the kewpie mayo (optional but highly recommended). Yakisoba is like Chinese lo mein with the main ingredient being cabbage and noodles. I couldn't finish it all but the show in front of us was awesome. I asked when we were seated if I could video and take photos of the chef, and she said yes. Please do ask prior to taking as Japanese people typically don't like being in photos. I suggest buying the batter mix to bring home, I regret not buying some upon paying the check and leaving at the small...
