Solid classic udon here that is worth a try. Convenient location close to the Osaka Aquarium too. We initially had a little difficulty finding it, but it goes by another name of UDON STUDIO. Despite the name we probably were only 1 of 2 tables of tourists there.

It's more of a self service restaurant where you grab your food and return your tray when done. They use the ticket vending system to accept cash only. A green booklet to the left of the matchine is the English menu where you can order entrees, sides and drinks. Pick up any sodas from the ice bucket at the front. Iced tea is free. They have stacks of kids plastic bowls and utensils to use which is always a plus. Kids menu udon (not pictured) was a healthy portion we easily shared between 2 toddlers and comes with a glass of juice for 300 yen. I got the shrimp tempura udon with maitake mushroom tempura which was delicious.
