Service. The service was very nice. The server was very friendly with foreigners. She always ask if my drink, rice or soup needs refill.
The salad. The cabbage is cut thinly and fresh. The salad sauce is pre added with lemon and the saltiness of the salad sauce has been adjusted so that it doesnt taste too salty but you will have to add a little more than usual. This is very nice for me who like to drench my salad but for those who like to eat salad dry, it might be too mild. Because the lemon is already mixed in you can have balanced sourness and saltiness as intended by the chef.
Wasabi. The wasabi doesnt taste like a cheap wasabi that is sharp and from food colored horse radish. I am not sure if it is real wasabi but it is very pleasant and close to the real wasabi.
Sauces. The katsu sauces is also adjusted to be mild, not too salty or too sharp, unlike the sauces you get from minimarket. It doesnt overpower the katsu.
Rice and soup (free refill) The rice is white and glossy, and somewhat thin. From the glossiness, I can tell that it is quality rice that is perfectly cooked. The soy sauce miso soup is very pleasant. It doesnt have the sharp smell of soysauce miso. The smell is very mild but taste somewhat rich.
Gyuukatsu Lastly, the steak katsu (Gyuukatsu) itself is perfectly cooked to rare to medium rare. The fat has been removed so you can chew it properly. The meat inside is also chewable just like a rare to medium rare steak. You can also order (free of charge) heated plate if you want to cook it a little bit more to medium but I like my steak medium rare.
Others The free ocha is nice and refreshing but I like my green tea strong and fragrant but the tea served here is again somewhat mild which is not wrong but its just my preference. Overall, every part of the dish is well thought and the saltiness has been adjusted to mild. Its not something the will kick your mouth unexpectedly but its very rich and pleasant at the same time. The price is average for gyuukatsu but the quality you get is above average and close to perfect. At this price range I cannot complain about the quality of the meat but the meat itself is average japanese meat with low fat content yet enough to make it juicy. Despite these drawbacks, at this price range I would still rate if 6...
ย ย ย Read moreStumbled upon this gem whilst looking for something to feed the hangry ones. Walked past a small queue and joined in (lock down FOMO habit).
Waited 15mins to get inside. Place was super clean, modern and very friendly. A handful of four seater booths against the wall and single seats along the bar overlooking a flawless Japanese kitchen production line..
Once inside, we were seated and given menus to make our orders. We made our orders and then waited another 5 before we were shown to our booth. I was able to hang my jacket on the hangar provided on the hooks in the wall and put my pack in the basket under the table.
Not long after, was given various dipping sauces which was explained in easily understood English. Great service! Also given hardcopy instructions on how to eat the katsu.
When food came out, was amazing! Sampled the tenderloin, sirloin and wagyu. Golden crunchiness of the panko crumbs, super tender and flavorsome beef enhanced with the various dipping sauces. And of course the cabbage to cut through the fried panko.
Yolk from the egg dipping sauce was amazing, cooked perfectly so that each piece was able to grab onto the delicious yolk and soft cooked whites. Place is a 10 out of 10,...

Excellent ingredient quality The highlight of the meal is undoubtedly the beef itself: high-quality cuts, tender and juicy, kept perfectly pink inside thanks to precise cooking. The breading is light and crispy, enhancing the rich flavor of the meat without overpowering it.
Presentation & Service Each dish is beautifully presented, with clean and elegant plating. The staff is friendly and attentive, guiding diners on how to sear the beef slices on the mini grill and recommending ideal cooking times.
Taste experience The combination of premium meat, crunchy breading, and careful cooking creates a satisfying and flavorful meal. The contrast between the crisp exterior and tender interior makes each bite a delight.
Value for money While it's not the cheapest option in town, the price reflects the quality of ingredients, thoughtful service, and overall experience. A great choice if you're looking for something a bit special without...
