This restaurant is supposed to be open 24hrs. IT IS NOT THE CASE.
We arrived at 1 am but they refused to take our order because there was a "system error problem" wich is a blatant lie. I offered to pay cash and order but they still refused while the kitchen were open and preparing food for other customers (they said it was staff ordering)...
The old woman manager then kicked us out of the restaurant really disrespectfully.
We translated what were written in the outside window and it seems that it had been there for days just to avoid working between 1 am et 5 am.
Then WHY TELLING PEOPLE ITS A 24HRS MACDONALD ON GOOGLE IF THEY DONT WANT TO WORK !?
It was also said that drive-thru order were taken but even tough they told us we needed a car. After we came back with a motorcycle they refused our order and made us loose even more time and patience.
We had to starve for the night because we trusted the professionalism of McDonald. We were always satisfied around the world but it seems Japanese restaurant are not professional and are disrespectful of the customer.
We made a complaint to McDonald and we will release all the videos if they don't answer and apologize.
DON'T GO THERE...
Read moreIt’s really hard to find a nice place in Japan where I can work for several hours while having something to drink and eat. I used to come to this place often, but after what happened yesterday, I feel so embarrassed and uncomfortable that I don’t think I can go back—at least for a while, or during the hours when that worker is there.
Yesterday, not even five minutes after sitting down, a worker came to me, handed me a note, and started explaining how to use the toilet properly, even using gestures and some English to make sure I understood (I guess she was trying to say she found pee on the floor and thought it was me????!). I don’t speak much Japanese, so I didn’t understand anything she was trying to say, nor did I know how to respond. I felt completely humiliated, especially with the gestures they were using to “explain” the situation.
In total shock, I sent a picture of the note to my partner, who explained everything to me. Once I understood, I told the worker that I hadn’t been here in days, hadn’t even used the restroom that day, and demanded an explanation as to why they were accusing me in the first place.
She apologized, but I was beyond offended. Do I look like a 5-year-old who doesn’t know how to use a toilet???? Would she ever show this to a Japanese person, or is it just because I’m a foreigner?? When she apologized, she explained that since I’m a foreigner, many travelers don’t know how to use the bathroom, and she just wanted to explain it to me. But honestly, toilets are the same everywhere—at least in Europe. Obviously, we lift the seat and sit down. I don’t come from some underdeveloped country where people pee on the floor.
And I’m not a tourist—I’ve been living in Japan for almost a year and have been coming here for months. They’ve seen me visit this place regularly, so this “explanation” about how to use a toilet was not only ridiculous but completely inappropriate. Before accusing someone, they should at least have some kind of evidence. They could have easily checked the cameras and confirmed that I hadn’t even entered the bathroom that day.
What makes this even worse is that I’ve personally seen that restroom dirty before, even with vomit, and no one seemed to care. But of course, they’d never assume a Japanese person was responsible. Instead, they immediately decided it was me, just because I’m not Japanese. The whole situation was degrading, humiliating, and deeply insulting… I truly hope they take some kind of action to address this behavior moving...
