On my latest culinary adventure, I had the pleasure of trying a unique dish at a local Japanese noodle shop: White Soup Noodles with Citrus and Chicken Soy Sauce. The combination of flavors intrigued me from the start, and I’m happy to say it exceeded my expectations.
Presentation: 4.5/5 The dish arrived beautifully presented. The white, creamy broth was almost ethereal, with a delicate sprinkle of chopped green onions and a hint of citrus zest floating on top. The chicken slices were tender, artfully arranged to showcase the dish’s minimalist yet elegant approach.
Flavor: 5/5 The first sip of the broth was a revelation. The white soup had a velvety texture with a rich depth of flavor, likely achieved by slow-simmering chicken bones. What made this dish stand out, however, was the citrus infusion. The subtle tang from the citrus perfectly balanced the richness of the broth, adding a refreshing and unexpected brightness.
The chicken soy sauce was delicate yet flavorful, enhancing the natural taste of the tender chicken slices without overpowering the dish. The noodles, cooked to perfection, had a satisfying chew and absorbed the broth’s flavor beautifully.
Service: 4/5 The service was attentive, with the staff taking care to explain the dish’s unique components and how best to enjoy them. Despite the language barrier, their enthusiasm for the food was evident, which added to the overall experience.
Value 4/5 At 900 yen, this dish was slightly more expensive than a standard bowl of noodles, but it was well worth it for the quality and creativity involved. The harmonious blend of traditional and innovative flavors made it a dish I’d gladly pay for again. There was a half size free refill of their...
Read moreTraveling from the snowy tundra of Minnesota to Japan; We've had our fair share of food in the last 6 days. From Tokyo, to Kyoto and now in Osaka. We knew at some point we would hit that one spot for ramen. This is the one. The staff were exceptionally friendly and had menus in various languages. We ended up ordering the white white and white white japanese with dumplings, along with extra toppings on the side. It was so much food and my fat kid spirit wasn't letting it go to waste. I normally don't finish bowls of soup due to certain medical reasons (iykyk); this was perfection in a bowl. The broth was rich, creamy and delicious; noodles were chewy and fresh, pork was tender, chicken was moist, the egg was delicious. I know online they say Japanese rate places harshly but as a foreigner, I can't recommend this place enough. Definitely going back one more time before...
Read moreThis ramen mainly serve the chicken soup ramen. The soup are having some bubbles on top of the pure white soup. It tastes brilliant and the soup has some thickness and layers which is quite unique compare to the other shop.
They will provide you the extra small bowl of noodles after you finish your noodles. Remember to ask after you finish the noodles, but they will provide the noodles after seeing you finish the noodles which is very nice. So please don't worry about it.
The staff are very nice and explain what makes the ramen and the soup. It is very warm and you can ask more if you know Japanese.
However, the shop is far away from the major tourist spots. You need to prepare some time to go there.
Overall, I recommend to eat in this ramen shop if you are the lovers of...
