Visited this restaurant for lunch, after having an amazing teppanyaki experience the previous day in Kobe. We ordered the high quality black cow beef. The meat was decent, but probably should've gone for the Kobe beef because it paled in comparison. Could've used some more seasoning probably. Also the way some pieces were cut, resulted in them being mostly fat and we couldn't eat them. Maybe if I had mine cooked medium rare instead of rare would've negated that. The restaurant was empty (we were very early) so we had it all to ourselves. The hostess was very kind, set up the steak for photos and also took some photos of us. The cook wasn't at all interactive nor cheerful, he seemed like he just wanted to get over with it. Not rude but he only spoke to us after he finished cooking. Thankfully we were guided through our meal the previous day so we knew how to enjoy it. The fat from the beef was just tossed. The garlic rice was rather bland. Would visit again for lunch but probably not dinner. Lunch menu isn't at all expensive too so I...
Read moreWe found this place on a TikTok post and boy were we glad we did. We had a family of 12 originally and one had to stay back. They were completely understanding and they treated my family with the best service you can imagine. Other folks have mentioned that the staff are very inviting. Now let me get to the food - EXCELLENT! We didn’t want to spend too much money so we got the high quality domestic and it was very good. About half way into the meal we decided to try the A5 sirloin, can’t even begin to explain how good it was. Truly melts in your mouth! We also ordered Mio sparkling sake and it was a great way to toast with the family. I hardly ever do reviews but I feel this place deserves the recognition. The fried rice was delicious and the soup at the end was a great way to finish the experience. I told the staff I was coming over the next day. Bring your family and enjoy such a lovely place. It’s next to the famous ramen spot but it’s a staircase that goes down to the basement. You...
Read moreOrdered A5 Kobe beef Sirloin and Fillet. Second time visit disappointing. Last year I visited this restaurant and tried Kobe Beef for the first time. It was melt in my mouth marbling experience. Decided to come back to experience again but to much disappointment. I thought it was a bad cut and then ordered more to try once more to hit the spot but it tasted just like ordinary beef. No marbling at all in my taste. This was confirmed after reading another person's review but I only saw the review with the same experience after I finished eating. I wouldn't recommend this place and wouldn't come back again. Personally no marbling at all. So not sure what beef i just had. I have eaten many marbling Japanese beef so I can say this is not it. Also had Kobe beef at a reputable restaurant a week ago, does not taste like this either. The price between the more reputable Kobe restaurant and this is also similar so it's not about paying less for lesser quality. This place is not cheap and for this...
