TLDR: If you’re looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to stay at, with good service, sufficient food options nearby, is near Osaka’s popular shopping streets and a short walk from 2 stations of the local subway line, this hotel may be the one for you.

It is also located really close to two local subway stations. I would recommend alighting at Shinsaibashi if you have luggage to haul; the exits/entrances to the station that are linked to Daimaru have escalators you can use in place of stairs.
Service and housekeeping were excellent. Unless you put out the ‘do not disturb’ sign, housekeeping will make your bed, switch out your towels, wipe down the bathroom, and clear your trash every day. If you use their pyjamas, they will also change those out for you. The room was always clean and tidy every time we returned at the end of the day.
Everything from coffee/tea, to toiletries (includes disposable shavers, toothbrushes with toothpaste, hair ties, hairbrushes, etc.) and pyjamas are provided (you just need to pick up what you need from their stock of amenities on display between the lifts and the front desk, whenever). Each room also comes with its own hairdryer.
The standard room had sufficient room to open either one luggage (=/

During my recent birthday trip to Osaka, I had the pleasure of staying at the Quintessa Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, and it was an experience beyond my expectations.
Having stayed in this area before in an Airbnb, I knew it was a great location, just 2 minutes away from the hotel. However, this time, I wanted a more relaxed and hassle-free stay, so I decided to book a hotel, and it was the right decision.
My stay at the hotel lasted for three nights, from Monday to Thursday. I had a standard double room, and I was pleasantly surprised by its size, as it was quite spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. The highlight of the room was the Japanese-style deep bath in the bathroom, which I made full use of during my stay – it was so relaxing!
The room was serviced daily, and while they only replaced towels and emptied the trash as a standard practice, they were more than happy to make the bed for me upon request. They did a fantastic job, and I appreciated the extra touch of their service.
The hotel offers laundry facilities, and I found that the washing and drying process was quicker than I expected. It was convenient and helped me keep my travel clothes fresh.
One minor downside for me was the absence of a safe in the room. However, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience I had with the space. They had more than enough pillows and blankets available upon request, and I loved the fact that they provided various toiletries at the reception for free, including shampoo, conditioner, toner, and cleansing oil. It saved me from carrying a lot of products with me during my trip.
The hotel also had a nice selection of comic books available for rent, including a small English language section, which was a pleasant surprise.
My room package included breakfast, and although the breakfast hours felt a bit early, closing at 9:30am, the variety and quality of the dishes made up for it. The coffee from the machine in the breakfast area wasn't to my liking, but I was delighted to find amazing drip coffee sachets available at the front desk.
The breakfast room itself is small, with limited tables, so my advice is to head down early to secure a spot. The hotel caters to various tastes with plenty of options on offer.
Location-wise, the Quintessa Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi couldn't have been better. It's just a few minutes' walk from major subway stations, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Moreover, its proximity to the Pokemon Store was a huge bonus, and I recommend being there when they open at 10am for a delightful experience.
As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe and well-cared-for throughout my stay at the hotel. The staff was attentive and accommodating, which added to the overall comfort of my trip.
I highly recommend the Quintessa Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Osaka. Thank you for making my birthday trip memorable and...
Read more-The hotel location is convenient! Dontonbori is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are also various stations that can be accessed in less than 10 minutes walking. Tons of restaurants along the way and stores. 4/5 for location ✨ -Rooms were decent in size. You can open up your luggage just fine. I think for a couple the room size is just fine but for more than 2 people it may not be the most comfortable. Just keep this in mind: they were not the cleanest and the room had a bad smell to it. We initially booked for a moderate double room. Upon entering, the first thing we noticed was a strong unpleasant odor. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. That being said, we could not figure out where the bad odor was coming from. We took a look at the bed and noticed the pillows had hairs on them and so did the sheets. I called the front desk and they offered to bring us new pillows but stated that the sheets would not be changed until the next day. We said it was fine and they brought up the pillows to our room. When removing the sheets from the bed, that’s when we noticed that it had pee stains all over the comforter and bed sheets. We took pictures and went down to the lobby to show them. The male receptionist seemed overwhelmed but made an accommodation for us. He offered us a new room but it would be smaller than the one we initially booked for because he didn’t have any similar rooms available at that moment. He did apologize repeatedly about the room and apologized for the smaller room. The second room was smaller (standard twin room) but the bathroom was clean and the sheets were as well. The unpleasant odor persisted throughout our stay but this room was better than our first one. 1/5 for rooms ✨ -Service was okay. The male receptionist was quick to accommodate and was always polite. The female receptionists were quick to say no to any accommodations or questions. (They were the ones that initially told us they could only give us new pillows but not change the sheets). The front desk does also speak English. 3/5 for service ✨ ‼️In conclusion, the location is convenient and the rates are great… if the things mentioned above aren’t an issue for you, great! If you’re unsure, I would suggest just staying elsewhere. 3/5 overall ✨ ✅Pros: free amenities by the front desk, breakfast is an option you can add-on, location, comfortable size rooms, rates, washer and dryer, manga. ❌Cons: lack of cleanliness, unpleasant odor, thin walls, smells of smoke in elevators, rooms look outdated, service could...
