Hotel Code Shinsaibashi — Hotel in Osaka

3 reasons for just 1 star:

1. Tiny little room and lack of space I know that i booked and stayed in the economy room, i shouldn't expect so much of it, but it is really too small for traveler!!! The double bed room even can't open 2 luggage at the same time, i can't walk through to bath room if i open just 1 luggage!! That means i need to take stuff out which i need, but there is just few space for me to put them to!!
2. Cleaners problem The hotel cleaners only change towels and tidy up the bed for you even i put the "Clean up room please" tag on the door instead of "Change towels only" And i have packed all trash in a plastic bag and put it next to the rubbish bin, they still don't pick that for us Besides, i didn't put any tag on the door someday before i leave the room, the cleaner still keep knocking your door and try to get in
3. Impolite receptionist The hotel receptionist won't greet you when you passed by even you have eye contact with her, it is quite impolite

I have stayed in many hotels in Japan like Hokkaido, Tokyo and Okinawa before, this is the worst...

I recently had a disappointing experience at Hotel Code Shinsaibashi, booked through Agoda. Despite reserving a non-smoking room months in advance and informing both Agoda and the hotel of my preference due to asthma, I was allocated a smoking room upon arrival. Despite numerous attempts to rectify the situation, the hotel was uncooperative and even blamed me for the mistake. After prolonged back-and-forth, they reluctantly agreed to cancel my reservation, prompting me to seek accommodation elsewhere.

Additionally, the hotel failed to honor their commitment to accept a luggage delivery on my behalf, despite prior assurance. Instead, they laughed off the situation and directed me to pick up my belongings from the post office.

Moreover, the staff's disregard for privacy was concerning, as they openly announced room numbers in the lobby, compromising guests' confidentiality.

Overall, my experience at Hotel Code Shinsaibashi was marred by poor customer service, negligence, and a lack of professionalism. I would not recommend this establishment to...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights before our Kobe cruise. ||The location is excellent as it's very close to Shinsaibashi shopping street and close to many eateries, some even right next to the hotel.||The rooms are SMALL (typical Japanese hotel rooms), but usable. There was an in-room safe which is convenient. It offers all the daily needs of a hotel.||It offers continental breakfast and a bit more than just coffee, tea and muffins, which is good.||The beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean.||Only complaint is checkout time of 10am. Too early and have to pay 1,000 yen for each extra hour. Also, there's NO VIEW of the city as the windows are FROSTED. Also the time we were there the breakfast eating area was getting renovated so not many places to eat and the staff persuaded the guests to take food to their rooms.||So only daylight comes through during the day.||The price is good for what it offers. ||We would stay here again next time we...
