Disappointing Experience – Will Never Return
This was my second visit to Pizza Tokyo Stadium, and sadly, it will be my last.
At first, everything was fine. I ordered a pizza, a drink, a beer, and a shisha. The atmosphere seemed chill, and I was looking forward to a relaxing evening.
However, things quickly went downhill. Once the number of customers started decreasing, it seemed like the staff decided to cut corners. The air conditioning, which had been working earlier, suddenly got noticeably weaker—almost as if they turned it off or reduced it significantly. I began sweating and feeling uncomfortable, so I politely informed the staff that it was getting too hot. One staff member acknowledged my comment and said they would check.
For a brief two minutes, the air conditioning seemed to slightly improve. But then, it went right back to being ineffective. I started sweating again, and it felt like they were indirectly trying to push us to leave earlier. Whether it was intentional or just poor management, it was incredibly disrespectful.
I spent good money that evening, and to be made to feel unwelcome—especially after being a returning customer—is unacceptable. It left a very bad impression, as if foreign customers are not valued or treated the same as others.
This is not how any establishment should treat its guests. Based on this experience, I will never return, and I would not recommend this place to anyone—especially if you’re going for the shisha or expecting a comfortable, respectful environment.
There are many better places in Tokyo that serve good pizza, drinks, and shisha without making you feel like you’re an...

Taste: 9/10. Vegetable pizza was amazing, the cream pasta they made it vegetarian custom for us and was amazing as well. Marinara pizza was fine, but the other two were outstanding, best taste for Italian we’ve had in Japan so far
Ambience 9/10. Compared I many other places in Japan that are too small when the taste is good, there is ample space and a nice vibe to the cafe. They have rap music in the background that adds to the metro vibe of the restaurant
Service 10/10. They understood English and were able to communicate well which in Japan is already a 8/10 for service. Two bonus stars for customizing an order for us, and having an upbeat and friendly nature. Food also came quite fast
Value for money - 8.5/10 We paid $60 for 4 people. For the taste being so good, price was about what you’d expect to pay as a tourist. Slightly on the higher side, but it’s already hard to find vegetarian food in Japan so we paid it happily.
Recommendations: Vegetable pizza Cream spaghetti pasta (ask for no chicken) Marinara pizza Mango...
Read moreHighly recommend! Owner Tokio Sasa has created a comfortable, clean and cool vibe at his pasta and pizza eatery in America Town in Osaka. It is hip and a relaxing place to get drinks, food and hookah.
It’s large with private booths, bar type seating, tables and a room in the rear.
The pizza was so good we scarfed it down before taking photos. Brick oven and handmade pizza and excellent pasta dishes. We had a sampler of Italian prociutto hams, excellent salad with strawberry, clam vongole pasta (winner!), and bolognese (excellent). We ate family style and shared. We also had the margarita pizza and Catharsix special which had pepperoni and a great cheese, onions and topped with an egg yolk that took it over the top!
Outstanding! The beer here was only 198 yen per glass which is only about $1.38 in US dollars.
After 15 days in Japan this was a great change of pace. Excellent service, great food, drinks and a cool, clean environment with a convenient location close to Dotonburi.
Check it out. I will be back to Catharsix again next...
