My only regret with this review is that I couldn't give it more than five stars.
Rally's is an extraordinary place, both as a bar and as a guesthouse, operated by an amazing couple who have put their heart and soul into every corner, nook, and cranny of their establishment. The moment you step in, either as a bar patron or as a tenant, you are immediately welcomed with open arms and you immediately know you belong there.
Kazuna and Patrick put an extraordinary amount of effort into this place and quite frankly I am astonished at how well they are able to maintain it consistently. The dorm room, with only four beds, is constantly restocked with fresh water, supplies, and clean towels, and the homey atmosphere encourages you to socialise with your dormmates. If you are ever in Osaka and you're looking either for a place to stay or just a place to shoot the breeze, I honestly do not think you can pick a better place...
Read moreWhat a find! Visited here for the first time with a friend and will definitely be returning. The owners are super nice and can both speak Japanese and English. The place has a nostalgic American diner feel to it. They serve Baird beers on top of other craft beers. Large selection of hot sauces including AMAZING home made sauces to complement their good menu selection.
There's more seating available that is not visible from walking by so it's worth checking in for additional seating!
If I lived in this area it would probably be my regular spot for sure!
Looking forward to many future visits and nice conversations with the...
Read moreLoved our early evening spent here before venturing into Dotonbori. The owners are extremely nice and their place offers a beautiful American-style diner with some Japanese twists. It might be a little tricky to find, but it's a gem. We enjoyed a few Japan brewed beers and the Today's Special drink, tasty fries, and even homemade hot sauce, but the real joy was chatting with the owners and the local regulars -- they all made us feel incredibly welcomed in Osaka. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a slight change of pace and...
