Tokiwa — Restaurant in Osaka

It's a small okonomiyaki shop on a quiet street. The food is good and cheap, the atmosphere is quiet, and the owner is very pleasant to talk to. It seems you can also smoke inside.

I chose the pork okonomiyaki set meal for a total of ¥800. By itself it is ¥600. I received a coffee and small snack for free.

The shop has existed for about 40 years and the owner is quite elderly. It used to be open at night but now is only open during the daytime until about 14:00, but the time might vary. It may be hard to communicate if you can't...

This charming, tiny shop is a one woman show; she’s been doing it for 44 years!! Amazing.

We enjoyed okonomiyaki, yakisoba, yakiudon and omelet rice. The yakisoba and omelet rice were stand outs. The portion size was not large but just right. Very affordable too! Very honest home style...

맛있는 오코노미야키를 먹을 수 있는 곳. 조용한 주택가에 위치해있습니다. 들어가시면 어머님께서 맞이해주시는데, 일본어가 안되시면 소통이 많이 어려울 수 있습니다. 내어주신 호지차로 몸을 식히고, 주문을 했습니다. 믹스랑 새우 오코노미야키를 주문했는데, 웬 걸 가격은 가격대로 싸지만, 관광객이 많은 곳보다 훨씬 맛있었습니다. 이에 추가로 믹스 야키소바 하나 더 추가했는데, 솔직히 오코노미야키보다 야키소바가 더 맛있는 건 함정! 마요네즈 듬뿍! 시치미 듬뿍! 정말 맛있었습니다.

쓰텐가쿠에서 그리 멀지 않은 신 이마미야역 근처니 관광지에서 벗어나 조용한 곳에서 현지인의 정취를 느끼고 싶으신 분께는 강추입니다.

ps 리뷰 2개밖에 없어서 새로 생긴 곳인 줄 알았더니, 어머님께서 장사하신지 2023년 기준 42년인가 43년이라고 하십니다~

식사 다하고 또 걸으러간다 말씀드렸더니, 남은거라며 호지차를 또 페트에 담아주시더라구요. 할머니의 정을 느낄 수 있었습니다.
