A 5 minute walk away from the Shinsekai Mega Don Quijote, we had Googled this unassuming sushi joint. Truly intimate, feels like you were taken back in time. Owners very sweet, taking photos to remember their customers by and asking for customers to sign their notebooks for memories. Sushi was tasty, but ultimately it was the service and people that made this a memory for a lifetime! Menu all in Japanese, with no clear prices which may bring some people anxiety - we just asked for a sushi set and called it a day! We also ordered extra nigiri pieces after :)

My Girlfriend and I stumbled across this little hideaway while searching for some authentic Japanese Sushi places. When we opened the door we were greeted by Mr M who was the most genuine happy person, he was so proud of his little restaurant that has been operating for 45+ years and for good reason, the food was so delicious! We ended up having seconds. Would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a more relaxed and iconic experience with some on the best sushi we have had here in Japan.

What a find this place is... The atmosphere is at least as amazing as the sushi. The couple running the joint are very inviting and so so friendly, we all used transistors to communicate and had fun with the other patrons and the owners. I am super happy I found this place and even happier we got seats as it only fits 9. Dinner for two and with extras and 4 beers came to 6000.

An hidden gem for an authentic Japanese experience money cannot buy, the food by this masterful chef exceeds expectations, and the experience making this a highlight of my trip.

Stumbled across this home restaurant on my last day, in an alleyway near my hotel. The chef owner barely speaks any English, but very foreigner friendly with a menu in multiple languages, and the prices are very reasonable.

My favorite dish was a miso marinated fish, extremely flavorful. Most surprised by how masterful the chef was with sashimi, highly recommended. The pan fried pork chop is more Japanese style and not how I’d prefer it. But overall so glad this was the last restaurant I visited before...
