A very homey shop that's run by an older man and had the assistance of a younger person. They're a shop you don't really notice at first but definitely known by locals and recommended by them. They take reservations, and I would highly recommend it if you do decide to go there.

The food is amazing here at a great price. I was with a party of 5 and we ordered 5 dishes:

Crab spaghetti (which they're known for) - the taste resides in the sauce they use that tasted of the crab brain/eggs. So delicious! Seems to also have some sort of milk or coconut milk mixed in. The spaghetti surprisingly was cooked just to the right firmness and normally my crowd and I are very particular about how our pasta is cooked. We ordered one extra plate of rice because of the delicious sauce

Salad was another dish we ordered - it had very fresh and crisps leaves, carrots, red and yellow peppers, tomato, celery and a really good dressing that tasted of balsamic vinegar and olive oil mix)

A seafood Pizza - consisted of squid, smaller similar to oyster type mushrooms, shrimp and uni. The pizza was similar to flatbread style, I think it could have been toasted a little more but it was good nonetheless

A beef curry and mini curry set - the beef curry contained ground beef in tiny squares, it was a good spice. Not the type of Japanese curry I expected but so far from trying curry in Hokkaido it seems that their typical curry style is soup-like. The curry also came with an egg cooked very nicely. We had two extra plates of rice with this.

Beef Stew - cooked super soft, breaks away in your mouth easily, felt like it was slow cooked. The sauce was super delicious too. Very differnt from their curry and crab sauce taste.

We ordered three plates of extra rice because their sauces were AMAZING. It felt like such a waste their food with lots of sauce doesn't come with sliced bread or rice on the side or something that allows you to utilize the ample sauce without wasting it becauss it was THAT good! Hence the three bowls of rice. We also got a beer and hot tea, all for less $95 (usd). One of us wanted to drink wine because of their good selection but we ended up not so if you were interested in wine, it's also a thought.

Overall we were extremely satisfied by the food and the ambience. We stayed for approximately an hour and they had a full house...

Dinner at No Name was hands down the best meal I had during this Japan trip! If you’re ever in Otaru, you have to visit this place!

We were lucky enough to be seated without a reservation. This was a tiny and cozy restaurant (it seats only 12-14 people, with 6 of us seated at the bar where you can watch the chef prepare and plate every meal)

We ordered:

Their signature Seafood Spaghetti - for 2,850 Yen, I didn’t expect it to be loaded with this much FRESH seafood! This pasta was light, flavourful, delicious, with the freshest and most perfectly cooked seafood 🤤

Baked Apple and Blue Cheese Pizza with Honey - this dish was AMAZING. 😍

Vegetable Salad - this salad was surprisingly good! It came with a bunch of fresh local vegetables (and edible flowers!) that we were unfamiliar with. Also, I don’t normally like tomatoes but the tomatoes in this salad were the best we’ve ever tasted (very sweet, juicy and fresh - it was unlike any tomato I’ve ever had)

House made Ginger-Ale. DELICIOUS.

Many of the vegetables and herbs used in the salad and to season the dishes also came fresh from their garden - the chef would periodically leave (from the front door lol) to grab herbs from the tiny garden by the restaurant!

The Staff here speaks English very well and were...

What a beautiful and delicious experience! As you first come in, you are welcomed by a cozy and heartwarming atmosphere, and a welcoming staff. The small space is very well curated. We sat at the bar, which gave us the extra and unique experience of watching the food being made. We ordered the sea food spaghetti, and the apple and blue cheese pizza. The pasta was simply delicious, the ingredients fresh, and oh so tasty! One of the best ones we ever had - Definitely a must try! The pizza on a very thin crust, was a great combination of flavors! The apples are also local and perfectly sweet. We also ordered their homemade ginger ale, which has some touches of orange and mint, and is made with actual ginger! Another must try! And did I mention the price was amazing? All of that for just about USD35. We couldn’t finish this review without mentioning the kind and excellent service, we got to chat with the manager and her daughter, and they were so nice! Offered a great service, told us more about the town, and just gave us a great experience overall!!!! We can’t wait to come back when we...

This was such an amazing dining experience. Wasn't sure what to expect as I've never had western food in Japan. I sense a bit of French influence with the vibe of the place and also the menu options. Ordered the beef stew, pork katsu curry and uni quiche and they all blew me away with flavour. The stew was so tender with the beef sliding off the fork, it had a nice wine sauce with plenty of beef. Pork katsu had an intense curry flavour with a little bit of heat, just perfectly calibrated, but my god the pork cutlet was so juicy and fatty and tender to marry this perfect combination together. The quiche with uni was luxurious creamy and to a non seafood eater they wouldn't suspect a thing. The chef was this lovely Japanese man who you could tell he's travelled and worked around the world. Each dish was beautifully presented and the service as always in Japan was 10/10 Food 10 Serving size 10 Atmosphere 10 Service 10 Value 10 Total 50/50
